Universal flux Cat. No. 839

For a long time now, efforts have been made to innovate in the area of roofer’s flux, to create a mixture that is truly universal.

It is true that significant improvements have been made by manufacturers here and there. However, new products have been developed without full knowledge of the requirements and working habits of roofing professionals.

Following the success encountered by its organic flux Decap’ Green Cat. No. 855, the company Guilbert Express “since 1905” decided to develop another acid-free brazing flux that would be truly universal, through its brand Express.

The aim was for it to be effective at maximum temperatures of up to around 375°C. This is indeed the case with the product presented here.

For the Express R&D team, it was clear that the bottle should not have a brush, to avoid users accidentally contaminating it with dirt, which is inevitably present on roofs, and making it good for nothing but the bin!

And so our universal brazing flux Cat. No. 839 was born, supplied in a bottle… with no brush.

This all-new universal flux Cat. No. 839 can be used to join very many materials, including natural zinc, old zinc, copper and brass, while delivering an extremely powerful cleaning action in comparison with other fluxes.

Catalogue number 839, universal roofer’s flux, will make an excellent addition to any roofer’s kit, particularly in combination with the bottle and brush for flux Cat. No. 9647, which can be used to pour out just the right amount needed for the job at hand.

It is also worth noting that this universal flux Cat. No. 839 is even easier to work with when paired with our roofer’s holders Cat. No. 9640 and Cat. No. 9645.
