REACH stands for ‘Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals’. This regulation came into force on the 1st of June 2007.
REACH is a regulation adopted by the European Union to better protect human health and the environment from chemical-related risks.
This is what we aim to achieve by correctly applying this legislation.
In principle, the REACH regulation applies to all chemicals: not only those used in industrial processes, but all those used in our daily lives too, for example in cleaning products, paints, articles of clothing, furniture and electrical appliances. This regulation therefore affects most companies in the EU.
In order to correctly apply this recent legislation, Guilbert Express has a duty to identify and manage risks related to the substances we produce and sell in the EU. We have to demonstrate to the European Chemicals Agency how the substance can be used in total safety and communicate risk management measures to users.
